Spring/Summer 15 Face/Hair Charts

Face Chart

Again I have chosen to focus on the lips, advertising Estee Lauder Pure Colour Envy Lipsticks.  I also wanted the eyeshadow to reflect on the lips, so I decided to choose a shimmery light pink shadow.

Step by step

Products

  • Garnier Micellar Water
  • Daywear moisturiser
  • MAC Prep and Prime Primer
  • MAC Studio Fix Foundation
  • Bobbi Brown concealer palette
  • Naked 3
  • Sumptuous Infinite Mascara
  • Benefit BrowZings
  • MAC Powder NC55
  • Bobbi Brown Pink Quartz Shimmer Brick
  • Kryolan Lip Palette
  • Brush belt
  1. Prepare the skin with Garnier Micellar Water and Estee Lauder Daywear moisturiser.
  2. Apply MAC Primer all over the face.
  3. Match a foundation colour to the skin (maybe mix two together) and buff into the skin using a buffing brush.
  4. Using the Bobbi Brown palette conceal blemishes and dark under eye circles.
  5. Use a flat brush to apply the shade 'Limit' from the Naked 3 palette all over the eyelid.
  6. Blend 'Buzz' into Limit with a fluffy buffing brush.
  7. Lastly for the eyelid, pat some 'Trick' into the outer corners just to add some extra shimmer.
  8. Shade in the eyebrows with Benefit BrowZing's.
  9. Apply a coat of Sumptuous Infinite Mascara for thick dark lashes.
  10. Use the MAC NC55 Powder to contour the face - under the cheekbones, down the sides of the nose and on the jaw line.
  11. Highlight with the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick - down the nose and on the cheekbones.
  12. Mix colours LC001 and LC120 from the Kryolan Lip Palette for the perfect hot pink shade to match Estee Lauders 'Infamous'.  Then apply this all over the lips.
Hair Charts

I decided to have a mixture of tight and bouncy curls for my Spring/Summer 15 look.  As I had chosen to advertise the 'Infamous' Pure Colour Envy Lipstick, I chose a blonde model to contrast the bright pink lipstick.  Also, curls pick up a lot of texture when photographed on blonde people.

Step by step

Products

  • Hair brush
  • Heated Rollers
  • Hair pins
  • Vitapoint
  • Back combing brush
  • Hairspray
  1. Brush the hair thoroughly to remove all the knots to prepare for the rollers.
  2. Once the heated rollers are hot enough, start at the top and roll them into the hair.  Set them in the direction you want the hair to go.  Use 2/3 pins to keep these in place whilst you wait for them to cool.
  3. Once they are stone cold, remove each roller one by one and brush the curls using the back combing brush as the bristles aren't as harsh.
  4. Add some Vitapoint to separate the curls slightly and give them more definition.
  5. Back comb the top of the hair to add some volume, this will also help keep the hair off the face to show off the make-up.
  6. Lastly use some hairspray to set the curls into place.
