Estee Lauder started her beauty business in 1946, it is simply unbelievable that she started with only four products.  Her uncle who worked in a chemist, mentored her and she began selling skin care products to local salons and hotels.

1953 - Youth Dew causes a fragrance revolution.  At that time women did not buy fragrance for themselves, and Estée Lauder wanted to create a fragrance that women could wear everyday and buy for themselves…so she created a bath oil that doubled as a perfume.


1956 - Re-Nutriv introduced the first ever luxury skincare collection.  Retailing at the unprecedented retail price of 0.00 because Mrs. Lauder believed that women want the best in skincare…at any price.

1960 - Estée Lauder opens its first counter outside of the U.S. in Harrods, London.

1962 - The first make-up colour collection in the industry makes its debut.

1982 - The introduction of Advanced Night Repair ushers in for the first time scientifically based skincare….with the first repair product in the industry.

1985 - The introduction of Beautiful – considered at that time to be the most complex fragrance ever created.

1993 - Evelyn Lauder, Mrs. Lauder’s daughter-in-law founds the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

1997 - Foundation is transformed with the introduction of Double Wear Stay-In-Place Makeup – long wearing, with a 15 hour staying power!

2007 - The introduction of Signature services – a menu of complimentary services offered to every customer, every day.  A first in the industry.

2009 - Advanced Night Repair is updated and becomes an even bigger industry leader.

2010 - Make-up artist Tom Pecheux joins the brand to lead the artistic direction for the next generation of Estée Lauder make-up.

Estee Lauder's Granddaughter - Aerin Lauder launched her own brand 'AERIN' which consists of beauty, fragrance, fashion and home décor.  She has a passion for art, travel, fashion and design and believes that living beautifully should be effortless.
